Red Beans Sundal (Rajma)

Ingredients:

  1. Rajma beans
  2. Oil for seasoning
  3. Mustard seeds
  4. Green chilli/Red chilli
  5. Curry leaves
  6. Desiccated Coconut
  7. Salt
  8. Coriander

Method:

  1. Pre-soak the red beans overnight.
  2. Drain the water and add it to the pressure cooker with 150 ml of water
  3. Allow it to cook for 5-6 whistles
  4. Release the lid once pressure decreases
  5. Add oil to a pan, let mustard seeds pop, keep the stove on low flame and add chillies, curry leaves, asafoetida as the tadka for the sundal. Finally add the red beans & add salt to taste. Coconut & coriander are garnishing options. Enjoy.
