Sri Devi Mahatmyam, is one of the important texts that is prescribed to Sadhakas who follow the path for attaining the feet of Sri Devi (the Universal Mother). The slokas forms part of the Centre of Markandeya Purana. The entire collection of slokas describes the protectives steps Sri Devi Matha has taken to protect the universe from the evil forces.
